Unfortunately, there is a lot of shoplifting, burglary, and small petty crime in the UK. Any items recovered when a person is caught, the police will confiscate, either at the time of arrest or after an investigation if it reveals that these items are stolen or proof of ownership. Whenever someone is detained for theft the police will usually attend their residents where they will need to show proof of ownership. Most shops will write off stock that has been stolen and the police will generally send these items to auction. We find the following products are commonly stolen and appear at many auctions:
